The new is starting to report that India has decided to take a firm stance against rape in their country. It's about time.
In countries that abound with religions that make women property, or at the very least, second class citizens, rape tends to be marginalized and swept under the rug. It's good to finally see one of these countries taking a hard line stance. It's a pity that America isn't following suit.
There needs to be a push for other countries to follow suit, ours included. The rape culture in many countries in the world is abhorrent to any moral person.
